Minnesota anglers out on the lakes for fishing opener

It's an annual rite of spring in Minnesota -- the walleye fishing opener. Anglers are enjoying great weather across the state as they try their luck. Here's a look at fishing news from around Minnesota.

The Historian: Lenape at the time of contact

Volunteers working in our small demonstration garden at the Swamp Creek Park have turned up several arrowheads. Finds such as these are not at all uncommon along local streams. Holding them in hand, the finder can’t help but wonder, “who made these and when?”

Great Strides Walk-A-Thon Join the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the Great Strides Walk-A-Thon. It will be held Thursday at Keiser University on southpoint Parkway. The walk-a-thon will begins at 6 p.m. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m.
